When you hear about the Galaxy Resource Pack for Minecraft, you probably imagine something from outer space, perhaps streamlined rocket ships and marauding extraterrestrials, but it does not have anything to do with interplanetary battles or creatures that need a signal strength that will cover several light years if they want to phone home.  Rather, This resource pack is a set of modifications that changes the visual appearance of the game in order to make it look more sophisticated.

This resource pack is a labor of love created by someone who wanted to make the environment within Minecraft look more interesting and engaging.  Some people describe the look of the Galaxy Resource Pack as somewhat cartoonish, but it does make the textures appear more realistic than they do when you play Minecraft without any additional resource packs.  The main attraction of Minecraft is not that it has visuals that make it look almost like a live action movie (there are other games out there for people who care about that), but rather that Minecraft is all about interacting in a fictional environment where almost anything is possible.

The various Minecraft resource packs let you customize the look of your environment.  The Galaxy Resource Pack, makes the backgrounds and items you encounter in the world of the game appear to have realistic textures and appear in realistic perspective, whether it is sunflowers and horses in the fields or building materials such as bricks or wood. It makes your Minecraft world fantastically colorful, and the textures are so detailed that you can even tell apart leaves from different species of trees.

Although it was released before version 1.9 of Minecraft, it has been updated so that it is compatible with Minecraft 1.9.  Whether with the newest version of Minecraft or with older ones, the Galaxy Resource Pack is virtually free of glitches.

When it comes to the representation of anything in the natural world or in the imaginary world, It pays attention to every detail. Natural items like beetroot and man-made items like arrows and clocks are realized in realistic and three dimensional fashion.  Likewise, even the breath of dragons looks like real fire.  No one has ever seen as zombie in real life (at least not that they can prove), but if zombies were real, they would look just like they do in the Galaxy Resource Pack for Minecraft.  Even the sun and the moon have a new, stylish look.  This resource pack makes the graphics a big attraction in playing Minecraft.
